Happy Feet Fitness classes are full of engaging ideas for play-based learning
Happy Feet Fitness has successfully evolved the concept of play-based learning, finding the perfect balance between educational content, creativity, health and social development in our super fun themed adventure classes. Whether it’s a song and dance for preschool or fun exercises for kids’ fitness, all of our activities are uniquely designed to encourage participation, expression and social interaction. We know it’s vitally important to get your children truly engaged. That is why every week we present a completely different class full of fun ideas and themes for the children to explore keeping the whole experience of Happy Feet Fitness new, entertaining and exciting.
Our range of classes includes:
CAMPING
Sitting around the campfire,
underneath the stars,
singing campfire songs and playing our guitars.
Up in the night sky,
is a big yellow moon,
stars are shining brightly,
it’s time for bed soon.”
In this class we go on an epic adventure camping in the Aussie bush.
We begin by making sure we have everything we need and then head off on a bushwalking’s to find the perfect camping spot.
Along the way we meet some friendly Australian bush animals and a big old gum tree. Next its time to set up camp and we meet Ranger Stacey who has come to talks to us about fire safety, so we can safely make a campfire.
We all have lots of fun sitting around the campfire singing our campfire song before we lie down underneath the stars with our special Happy Feet star blankets and check out the night sky.

In our super fun Construction Class we explore what it might be like going to work on a construction site.
We begin by waking up in the morning and getting ready to go to work and making sure we have the protective
gear we need to keep ourselves and the team safe.
Next, it’s time to drive the big machines and the discover the different ways that cranes, diggers, bulldozers and dump trucks operate and move to do the work they do.
Then it’s time to get building. This activity encourages the children to work together and engage in some fun active play to build a tower using large lego blocks. It’s amazing to watch the creation take shape!!

PETS
“I’d like a pet.
There’s just so many different kinds, I don’t know which one to get.
There are big ones and small ones and some with really big eyes.
There are hairy ones and scary ones and some that like to fly!”
In this class we explore the wonderful world of having a pet and responsibilities that come with it. We begin with a song named “I’d like a Pet” which gives us the opportunity to think about what kind of pet would suit us best as we sing and dance along, moving like the animals we are talking about.
Then we meet Diggy the dog who likes pretending to be a cat and suggests we should give it a try. We put on some special Happy Feet cat ears and do some cool cat moves as we slink along to the cat song. Afterwards Diggy the dog talks to us about how to best look after our pets to make sure they are happy, safe, and feel loved. Next we meet Snappy the pet crocodile and listen to his song while dancing with Snappy puppets.
Our Pets class encourages the children to learn about the responsibilities of pet care while having lots of fun.

ROAD SAFETY

This super fun and educational class is an example of just one of our irresistible ideas for play-based learning all about introducing children to traffic awareness. We explore the ideas of seatbelts, traffic lights and crossing the road safely using some uniquely handmade props, puppets and clever song lyrics.

FIT KIDS

Hey Happy Feet if we want to feel great, we’ve got to keep our bodies healthy and stay in shape.So lets move to the music and groove to thesound, we can keep our bodies fit while we get on down.
In our Fit Kids class we learn all about how doing exercise and eating healthy food will help our bodies grow strong and our brains to be clever. After doing the Happy Feet Fit Kids work out, we play the “You are what you eat” game to help us all understand what kind of foods our bodies really like to eat and what kind of foods don’t really help us to stay healthy and strong.

We are super heroes, we’re here to save the day.
We are super heroes andwe’ve got super capes!
In our super heroes class we imagine the fun of having super powers and more importantly how we might use them to help other people.
This class helps us understand that there are many different kinds of super heroes in the world and that we all have the power to do something special or kind for others.
Our Super Heroes class really comes to life and fires up the children’s imagination when they dress up in our specially created Super Hero costumes.

THE HAPPY FEET OLYMPICS
Olympics
“Stand tall and be proud Happy Feet team, you’ve won gold!!!”
In this class we explore the meaning of the Olympics, the spirit in which it was founded, and why the Olympic flags looks the way it does.
We then march in our very own Olympic opening ceremony and participate in some exciting Happy Feet Olympic games.
The music in this class has been created to be very uplifting and the activities so much fun. Our Happy Feet Fitness Olympics class is sure to inspire young minds and have a great time.

Community Heroes
Call 000 in emergency for fire fighters, ambulance and police

In our Community Heroes class we learn all about important people in our community that are here to help and who comes to help us in different kinds of emergencies. Fireman Frank invites us on the Happy Feet fire truck and we even manage to rescue Mrs Muppets cat from a very tall tree. Our Community Heroes class is as entertaining and fun as it is educational.

DOWN ON THE FARM
Down on the farm
Down on the farm with all of our friends, there’s chickens and cows and pigs in their pens.
Down on the farm we can ride on our horse, play in the hey and milk the cows of course.
In our Farm class we explore what life is like living on a farm.
Driving in our tractors, feeding all the animals and riding on our horses.
We all help Famer Mick with Daisy the cow who needs to do a little more exercise.
This class really comes to life when we all get dressed up in our wonderful Happy Feet cow costumes and do a fun obstacle course to inspire Daisy the cow to get mooving!!

SPACE CLASS
Space
Our Space class is out of this world fun!!
In this very imaginative and creative adventure we put on our space helmets and fly our rockets up to the moon. When we land we land on the moon we learn about gravity by going for a funny moon walk to some very spacey music.
While on the moon we find an alien spaceship with our space binoculars and fly it to another planet where we meet ‘La La’ the friendly alien who teaches us a very cool alien dance. The music and props created for our Space class really fire up the children’s imaginations and bring the class to life.

AUSTRALIA
Learning Objectives
Australia is a great place to be, our island home is surrounded by sea.
With kangaroos that jump really high and kookaburras laughing in the sky.
We jump straight into some cool kangaroo costumes and get our heart rates up with some tricky kangaroo moves. Next, we practice our kookaburra sounds and then fly around with Cookie the kookaburra laughing in the sky.
Then it’s time to explore some Aboriginal culture. We listen to the didgeridoo and then dance and play our clap sticks to the music.

This is a beautiful class that teaches children about each of us being unique and different, and for them to understand how wonderful that is! In the “Feelings” song we practice showing how we feel using our facial expressions – this is a very funny activity and the children usually end up doing a lot of laughing.

There are lots of different ways to get around and in this class we explore some of the fun ways of getting where you want to go.
We begin by imagining ourselves as planes, spreading our wings and starting our engines, before taking off and flying high into the sky! We perform fantastic tricks up in the air – roly poly’s and loop de loops, then we touch back down at the airport so we can try a new mode of transport.
It’s time to meet our special train, purpose built for this class, the Happy Feet Express. We ride the train all around the country side visiting hoppington, noddington and wiggleton stations that have us hopping, nodding and wiggling at each visit. The Planes, Trains and Automobiles class has the children laughing, learning and having a great time.

SEASONS
Learning Objectives
Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring as the seasons change so does the weather they bring. In Summer it’s hot, in Winter it’s cold, in Autumn and Spring there’s lots of changes to behold.
Our Seasons class is full of super fun interactive ways for the children to explore the changes in the weather at different times of the year.
We play a musical game of dancing, listening and problem solving as we try to match seasons with the weather they bring. Then we put on our welly boots and rain coats and go jumping, stomping and hopping in the wet Winter puddles. Next, it’s Summer and we’re off to the beach for a surf. We refresh on some beach safety and then it’s time to hit the waves and ride the big kahuna.

Our Vegetables class is a super engaging and highly entertaining class jam packed full of good healthy fun to help the children understand the importance of healthy eating and how it helps us to feel great. We make a giant vegetable stir fry in our parachute wok and then play a super fun vegetables game that helps us explore the different colours and shapes of fresh food.

DINOSAURS

Dinosaurs get ready to roar – 1,2,3 ROAR!
Shake your tails, Stomp the floor, Crouch down low and do the Dinosaur!
In this class we become big stomping, dancing dinosaurs and certainly look the part with some bedazzling handmade Happy Feet costumes.
The dinosaurs then do an exciting dinosaur conga dance followed by some fun movement activities with dinosaur eggs – one of which is just about to hatch!

BUGS IN THE GARDEN

I like looking for bugs in my back yard
Some bugs are easy to find while others are quite hard.
You never know what kind of bug that you’re going to find
There is just so many different types, so many different kinds.
This class starts with a bug dance! “Hey, Happy Feet can you do what bugs do? Can you move like a bug and bust a bug dance move?”
We dance around like crazy cockroaches, buzzing bees and wriggle and jiggle like wriggly worms.
Next, we put on beautiful brightly coloured worm puppets and wriggle them around all over the ground, in the air, and way up high to a funny Happy feet worm song.
Our friend Bumble the Bee comes out for a buzz and we chat about bugs in the garden; he asks is we would like to go on a bug hunt! We make an obstacle course with spikey pods and a super groovy tunnel, and then we all practiced taking turns, balancing on the colourful pods and climbing through the tunnel looking for cool bugs.

THE CIRCUS

I’m a funny clown and I like to make you laugh. Should I talk a funny talk? Should I walk a funny walk? Should I fall down on the ground? Should I spin around and around?
In our circus class we pretend we are performing in the circus as funny clowns, acrobat dancers, and daring tightrope walker way up high. We explore a lot of different equipment in this class including hoops, dancing ribbons and a tightrope we all have to carefully balance on.
We all have tons of fun exploring what it would be like being a circus entertainer.

STARS
Learning Objectives
We bright and shiny stars up so very high, twinkling and turning in the night sky. We can shine low or we can shine high we can even do a star jump in the night sky.
There are many different kinds of stars to explore. We begin our star class as starfish under the sea, bobbing along on the ocean floor stretching our arms and legs out as wide as we can, trying not to fall over!
Next, it’s time to be glittering, shining stars way up in the night’s sky. As the sun comes out, all of the little stars hide and go to sleep waiting for their time to jump up back into the night sky and twinkle as bright as bright as the can.
We created stunning star costumes for this class and the fun original music combined with storytelling lyrics makes our Stars class very engaging, interactive and full of creative movement and fun.

FRUITY FRUIT

We like fruit – Yes we do. It helps us to be healthy and grow big and strong too!
Our Fruity Fruit class is all about sharing our passion of healthy eating with children and helping them to understand how important good nutrition is. The first thing we do is make a giant fruit salad in our fruit bowl parachute and make sure we get all the fruit really mixed up. Then we play Fruity Corners with a super magic twist that has the children shouting out “Yummy, Healthy Fruit”. This class inspires young minds to get excited about all of the choices, colors and tastes of fresh food.

Counting is clever, counting is fun, counting is done one by one!
You can count your fingers, you can count your toes, some people count sheep to get to sleep – are you one of those?
In this super fun and energetic class, we count our way through a very cool Happy Feet Workout, we count lots of different parts of our bodies and we play an hilarious game of the counting hokey pokey with a giant scrunchy.
This class shows us that counting can be clever and fun at the same time!

THE ZOO

Let’s go to the zoo, can you do what the animals do?
One of the highlights of this class is dressing up in our amazing monkey costumes, with long swinging monkey arms. We swing and jump through the trees, do some cool monkey moves and eat delicious bananas.
We have beautiful big animal creations for our game of Animal Corners. A Lion, Snake, Monkey & Elephant are placed in each corner, then we all dance until the music stops and we listen very carefully to an animal sound to see which animal we need to visit. This class encourages the children to explore moving their bodies in interesting ways and encourages problem solving skills and team work.

Friends all over the world is the name of the first song in the class which helps us explore the idea that although we all look different on the outside, we all have the same feelings on the inside and this is why it is very important to be kind to everyone no matter what they look like or where they come from.
We then embark on a worldwide adventure and learn how to say “Hello” in different languages and practice some special dances from many cultures around the world.

PIRATES
Learning Objectives
We are all pirates we – sail on the deep blue sea
All day, all night we sail our ship because pirates we will be
Arrrrrg!! Me Hearties it’s the Happy Feet Pirate class.
We all dress up as Pirates with feather swords in hand & take on the seven seas! We learn a Pirate dance and went on a treasure hunt to find a hidden treasure chest guarded by a grumpy old dragon! We chop our way through the long grass, swim through a freezing river, jump over a fallen tree and then tip toe into a secret cave!
We find the treasure – Hooray…. but then we better get out of the cave before the grumpy dragon wakes up! Our Pirate class is full of high energy interactive fun. The Pirate costumes have to be seen to be believes and Happy Feet music leading the class on the treasure hunt creates a real sense of fun and adventure – not to mention a great work out!

BODY WORKS

Sight, sound, taste, and smell – don’t’ forget about touch as well
Eyes, ears, mouth, and nose – don’t forget about the skin that you’re in
We’ve got five senses that help us do all the things that we want to!
Our Bodyworks class explores the five senses and the different ways we can move our bodies. We start with a high energy Happy Feet song named “Body Go Crazy” The music has us moving different parts of our bodies in funny and interesting ways before making our whole body go crazy! Next we play the senses game. Listening to the music we identify what our five senses are and each time the music stops we have to select one of our five senses and place it in the right position.
This class strikes the perfect balance between high energy fun and problem solving game time.

RHYTHM AND DANCE

Can you feel the rhythm? Can you feel the beat?
Makes me want to clap my hands and stomp my Happy Feet.
Sammy the snail helps us to understand that music moves at different speeds and this helps to create rhythm. Sammy likes music with a slow rhythm because he’s a snail but some music has a fast rhythm. We all have lots of fun playing musical instruments and moving our bodies in time with different music….sometimes we even have to freeze and not move at all!
We also learn some cool dance moves to a special Happy Feet song.

HYGIENE
Learning Objectives
Brush your teeth in the morning, brush your teeth every night.
Brush round and round, brush up and down, make sure you do it right.
Our Hygiene class is all about learning that looking after ourselves is good clean fun. We meet Piggy the pig who really needs the children to help her work on her hygiene. All the children have some great ideas on how to help clean Piggy up. We also work out when and why we should wash our hands, brush our teeth and wash our hair. This class takes a really important learning area and makes it super fun to explore.

UNDER THE SEA
Learning Objectives
Under the sea, what a wonderful place to be
Under the sea, so much fun for you and me
Our Under the Sea class is as educational as it is fun.
We learn about protecting ourselves from the sun while dancing and singing to the “Sun Screen Song”. Then it’s time to head off to the beach for a swim but when we get there we need some help to work out where to swim. To help us learn we dance and sing to a song named ”Between the Flags” while doing some coll dance moves with a red and yellow lifesavers flag. Next we meet Dolly the Dolphin who invites to an under the sea party with all of her ocean friends. We meet a sea horse, a starfish, and even a shark, just name a few.
One things for sure about the Under the Sea class – It’s awesome!!
