FAQs for Centres
How many children do you take in a class?
Up to 20 children in each class.
Is there a minimum number of children required to run the classes?
There is no minimum number, every child and class is important to us regardless of the numbers.
How many weeks of the year do you operate and is it run per term?
We teach Happy Feet Fitness 50 weeks of the year. Classes do not run during the 2 week holiday period over Christmas and New Year.
What happens if my Happy Feet instructor is away on holiday or sick?
We have a team of cover instructors available to ensure that classes are run each and every week.
We know how much the children look forward to their Happy Feet session each week, so we endeavour to never cancel a class. In extenuating circumstances, when a cover is not available, then the instructor would either make up the class or send families our virtual class to enjoy at home.
What if we wish to cancel, how much notice is required?
We require 8 weeks notice and need to finish up at the end of a calendar month, due to families payments (payments are processed a month in advance). This also gives the Happy Feet instructor a chance to prepare the children for the change and say goodbye.
What age group is the Happy Feet Fitness program designed for?
18 months to 5 years, although we also cater for babies (T & C’s) as well as teach Happy Feet in primary schools Kindy and Pre-Primary.
Do you have your own public liability?
Yes, the Happy Feet Company has their own public liability as well as the individual instructor.
A copy of all Certificates of Currency will be provided to you at the start of each new year along with the instructor’s current Working With Children Check/Blue card.
How do we enrol our centre in Happy Feet?
Visit our website www.happyfeetfitness.com.au and go to BOOKINGS; fill in the form and press submit; we will be in touch.
An instructor will be appointed to you, who will visit to introduce themselves and share more information about our program and plan a date for your first FREE COMPLIMENTRY class.
What is included in your service?
Happy Feet Fitness prides itself on providing a high quality service that keeps families and centres well-informed, involved and excited in the children’s Happy Feet journey. Families enrolled in Happy Feet receive weekly emails from their instructor informing them of the class theme and activities as well as any class updates. Families also receive bonus resources such as activity sheets to extend learning outside of class. Throughout the year, enrolled families receive special certificates, reports and photos of their children participating in Happy Feet.
Happy Feet has developed EYLF worksheets for each of the Happy Feet classes that allows integration of the Happy Feet class program and weekly theme into the centre. The centre can use these EYLF worksheets as they like, as well as the activity sheets outlined above.
All centres that run Happy Feet are offered a FREE 30-minute entertainment session each year that can be used any time during the year or as the End of Year/Christmas centre party (as long as the instructor is available)
Who looks after the communication and accounts?
The Happy Feet instructor looks after all communications and accounts providing a hassle-free service for the centre.
Instructors are trained on these processes and procedures to ensure that all communication is thorough with both families and centers.
All accounting needs are undertaken through our own unique Happy Feet portal.
What are the benefits of having Happy Feet Fitness in my centre?
There are many.
Happy Feet will allow you to offer your families an additional optional service that is both high quality and hassle free.
Happy Feet provides educational content and themes that we have linked with the Early Years Framework. Consequently, we have developed resources and activity ideas that can be used and integrated into centre programming.
You will receive a free entertainment package each year and if available we love to support and be part of centre celebrations like Mother’s Day and Grandparent’s Day.
Happy Feet will support you and your Educators in any way we can, but most of all we will bring joy, laughter and movement in rainbow colours each week for all.
Children absolutely adore Happy Feet and seeing the joy that Happy Feet will bring to your centre and children is heartwarming.
Do you need a centre Educator present when conducting the class?
Rules and regulations suggest we do, however the Educator is not expected to actively participate.
An educator just needs to be present in the room to oversee and lend a hand if a child needs the toilet etc.
Some educators like to use this time to set up the room or sit to observe or write reports etc.
What other services do you offer?
We have many services and can cater to any of your needs.
Some of our services include centre incursions, birthday parties, community events, fundraisers, stage shows, fairs and fetes.
Are there any resources available for the Educators to use?
Yes, we have resources such as EYLF worksheets and activity sheets available and will share these with you when we visit each week.
Do you have resources that other children not enrolled in Happy Feet can utilize?
Yes, we supply the centre with a Happy Feet digital download class that can be used throughout the centre at any time.
We also have resources and activity sheets that extend our class themes and educational content and these can be used by the whole centre and for non-enrolled children if desired.
